Gravitational potential energy and Elastic potential energy
A stone when it's dropped; and a compressed spring when it's released.
It is a form of potential energy.
An example is sand on a beach stores the energy from the sun in it. A stretched spring has stored potential energy that is released when the spring is returned to its unstretched state.
Nuclear energy is a kind of potential energy.
Kinetic Energy+Potential Energy=Mechanical Energy (KE+PE=ME)
Potential energy is the "energy of position" - work done against a so-called "conservative force". Examples include a compressed spring, gravitational potential energy, chemical energy, nuclear energy.

Potential energy is when you do work against a conservative force. Examples are gravitational potential energy; the stored energy in a spring; chemical energy; and nuclear energy.
A parked car is potential energy =]- aim wave ; twinxlocksxin
An example of potential energy: a cocked trebuchet
t
examples of chemical energy are.. food, baterries, fuels, candles, etc.
Potential to kinetic kinetic to potential Thermal to solar
Potential energy is the energy possessed by an object due to its position . Examples of potential energy are gravitational, chemical and electrical.
chemical energy is a perfect example of potential energy in nature. One example of that is wood that you use when you have a fire.the potential energy is released through a chemical (exothermic) reaction as thermal energy and heats up the area surrounding it. Well, we know gravity is the pull on an object. Also, that potential energy is when an object is at the highest point. So, some examples of this would be when a roller coaster is at the very top, it is when it has the most potential energy, and gravity is pulling upon it.
