Explorer car will not start after washing engine?

Car won't start after washing the engine? Obvious answer is that you got the electrics wet, which is never a good idea. Will require a good dry-out, and possibly application of water displacing oil such as WD40 around the battery terminals, HT leads, distributor, etc etc. Just don't do it again. You don't hose down electrical equipment in your house as well, do you?
