Where do you find the fuses for a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Intrigue lighter fuse locationThe fuse for the lighter socket on a 2002 Intrigue is in the passenger side dash fuse panel. The one with the finger pull, between the air bag and the passenger door. May be the same on a '99. AnswerThe fuse is on the fuse panel you access by opening the passenger door. It is behind a pullout panel on the side of the dash. The cig lighter fuse is right in the middle of the fuse panel.

This is a very surprising place to put a fuse panel. You would not think to look in that position. I would think that the fuse panel would be on the driver's side, as it is in 99% of all the other cars on the road. Add to that, that there is already another fuse panel inside the engine compartment under the hood. I didn't even think to look for another fuse panel until after I pulled every fuse in the engine compartment fuse panel and all were good.

You have to really pull on the fuse panel door - because it is not hinged - it is clipped in like a door panel, and takes a bit of pull to open it. And due to the position, it is nearly impossible to put back all the way. The one clip is right accross from the door and I can not get a good swing to click it back in.

How do you change the front calipers on a 1996 Ford F-150?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Haynes and Chilton both print repair manuals that provide step by step instructions for repair of all kinds of things. You can buy these at most auto parts stores i.e. NAPA/Autozone etc. Ford will also make repair manuals that the local dealers will have, and alot of times if you talk to the service department, they will let you look at them, and sometimes even make copies of the appropriate pages for you. Good Luck

How do you change tail light on 2004 F150?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The trailer plug should have come from the factory pre-wired: a 4-wire plug standard or a 7-wire plug if the optional tow package was installed. If the harness has not been disconnected or come undone by accident, either you have a blown fuse or a bad relay. These are separate for the trailer/tow harness (i.e. your regular tail lights can be working fine but the trailer/tow fuse and/or relay may be bad). You manual should show you where your particular fuse/relay is located. Don't trust visual inspection; test then replace the defective part.

How do you change licence plate bulbs on 2005 f150?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I don't know if it's very different to the process on a 2001, should be similar.

You have to start in under the hood.

For mine, first had to carefully pop out the plastic dam that sits horizontally between the grill and the metal frame. Once that's moved, there were two plastic tab things that you pull and the light assembly will be free....careful not to let it fall off or you'll be paying $250 to replace it.

Then just pull the bulb wire out the back, change and reassemble.

The plastic dam thingy is held in with those plastic grommet things and can break so be careful. 1 of mine broke but not a big deal.

How do you remove red spots from paint job?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Water spots are generally the result of ground water that has dried on a vehicles finish. Ground water has minerals and other things such as iron oxide (rust) so when the water evaporates on the body of the vehicle it leaves behind all the minerals.

There are two ways to get rid of these water spots.

One Method is to use a Vinegar bath. This has worked for a long time on minor to somewhat moderate water spotting. Just clean your car, then apply 100% distilled white Vinegar to your car, let it sit for a minute and rinse off. Then re-wash your vehicle.

For those stubborn water spots there is a acid that you can purchase from detail suppliers. One such product is "Splash" it is a Sulfuric and Hydrofluroric acid mix that you put on the vehicle a 2'x2' section of the panel and rub a few times and then wash off and repeat until water spots are off.

This is the most dangerous method as these combination of acids can burn your skin, and cause other health and body panel/window damage if let to dry on the panels/windows. Wear Gloves, long sleeve shirt and a breathing mask and goggles when using.

How do you install a starter in a 1991 Ford F 150?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

1) Remove the neg.(-) cable from the battery. 2) you may need to jack up the vehicle to working height. Be sure to install jack stands under the veh. make sure that the veh. is secure and safe to be under. 3) locate starter. remove the positive battery cable from starter. then remove the starter retaining bolts. may be a 2 or 3 bolt starter. 4) before taking the starter to the parts house for replacement. check the starter to be sure that you are replacing the bad part. do this with a simple set of jumper cables and a good battery. connect the positive leads of ther cables to positive (+) on the battery and the starter lug (+). the neg (-) leads to the neg (-) battery. now take the only neg (-) cable end left and touch the body of the starter ( where the mount holes are) you 'll get a spark, but the starter should spin and the bendix will come out.if no spinning or slow spinning and a real heavy sparking then the starter needs replacing. these instructions can be utilized for almost any vehicle application.

How do you adjust the parking brake on a 1999 f150 after installing new parking brake shoes?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

front brakes are disk they are not adjustable. there should never be a need! if you are having problems I would say you have a stuck caliper. Dis-assemble see if the piston will move freely (and push t back in) lube all slider (contact points) and reassemble.

If there is still spongyness after a couple pumps (remember we need a couple to push the piston back out) I would say you have some trapped air in the system and would then need to bleed the brakes. (do all 4 starting at rear passenger side)

What marking out conventions do you use when marking out the workpiece?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

· Always work from established Datum edges, as this will ensure greater accuracy

· When marking out for cutting always cut to the outside of the line to allow for finished filing

· If an internal profile is required always cut to the inside of the line to allow for finish filing

· Circles and Radii can be marked out using steel dividers and then cut and filed to establish the correct profile (Radii can be checked using radius gauges)

· Pitch Circle Diameters (PCD) are a series of holes marked out around a given diameter. The holes can are generally equally spaced (angularly) and reference books such as a Zeus book can be used to establish the hole positions

· Holes on a linear axis can be marked out using either ABSOLUTE or INCREMENTAL

· Absolute dimensions are marked from a datum edge to a singular point meaning that all holes originate from the DATUM

· Incremental dimensions are marked from point to point/hole to hole (using this method means that there is a greater chance of error)

· Angular dimensions can be marked out using a Vernier Protractor or a Combination Square

· When producing tapped holes, allowance should be made for the Tap and we can use reference charts to give us the relevant drill size. For example an M6x1.0 internal thread requires a 5mm drilled hole.

The M before a thread size means Metric and the figure i.e. 1.0 is the pitch

Yes and no ......the frame on the 86 is wider ud have to drill new holes in the 77 body for it fit and make different mounts for the doghouse etc alot of hassle but its always possible if I remember right the 80s frames were 6 inches wider cause we tried to put a 88 cab and motor on a 76 highboy frame and it was to much pain so we got a 95 frame its backward from what your doing maybe find a older truck frame close to your year i do believe the 80s rangers had a similar frame width but it wont be as strongly built in my opinion
