Florida's EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card, also known as the Access Florida card, is used to access benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which helps low-income families, children, the elderly, and disabled individuals buy food.
Florida EBT cardholders can use their cards to purchase a variety of food products, including:
Fruits and Vegetables
Bread and Cereals
Meat, Poultry, and Fish
Dairy Products
Snack Foods and Non-Alcoholic Beverages
Seeds and Plants for growing fruits and vegetables.
However, the EBT card cannot be used to purchase the following items:
Alcoholic beverages
Tobacco products
Vitamins or supplements
Prepared hot foods
Non-food or household items
It's important to keep in mind that some specific items may be excluded from eligibility. You can refer to the SNAP retailer locator or contact your local SNAP office for more information.
No, you cannot use an EBT card issued in New York State in Georgia. EBT cards are state-specific, meaning they can only be used in the state that issued them. If you are in Georgia and need assistance, you will need to apply for an EBT card in that state.
Yes, you can use your New York EBT card in Asheville, NC. EBT cards can be used at any authorized retailers that accept SNAP benefits nationwide, regardless of the state that issued the card.
There are various statements in the EBT handbook and when you are applying which state that EBT benefits are for groceries. Restaurants sell food you eat in the establishment, not groceries. If any fast food restaurants accept EBT cards it is very against the rules and I am sure the EBT office would want to know that EBT handouts funded by the taxpayers are being used to eat out at restaurants, which is an entertainment expense rather than a grocery expense. I'm on EBT and even I don't think it would be right and I would be the first to report such a restaurant.
EBT cards can not be used at fast food restaurants in Ohio. EBT cards can only be used on food in grocery stores.
Where can I use my Iowa EBT card?
Use it anywhere in Iowa and in other states at places that
are authorized by the USDA Food and Nutrition
Service to take "Food Stamps". Look for a sign
that says "We Accept Food Stamp Benefits" or a
"Quest™" sign that has a grocery bag with "Food
Stamps" printed on it. You can ask if you can use
your Iowa EBT Card if you do not see a sign
yes you can use it wherever ebt is accecpted throughout 50 states
If PA EBT cards have similar restrictions to the EBT cards that I am familiar with, there are no restaurants that accept them. Prepared foods are not eligible for EBT payment. If you have a "cash" option on your EBT card, you should be able to use that to pay for prepared food. However, restaurants do not usually take EBT cards. So you can use your EBT card to buy a frozen pizza at a grocery store, but you cannot use it to buy a slice of ready-to-eat pizza. You could pay for the slice of ready-to-eat pizza with the "cash" on your EBT card though, assuming you have any.

You must go to the DTA office to get a replacement card. Be sure to take photo identification such as a driver's license with you. The first replacement card is free. For each replacement card after that, you must pay a $5.00 fee, which can be subtracted from your food stamp benefits if you choose. You will get a new PIN with your new card.
