Would it be better if man's dream of flying had never come true?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

No. It has opened up the world and made it a smaller place. It has made it easier for people to see new places and educate themselves about the world. It has meant that people who have emigrated to other countries have a better chance of being able to get back to where they came from for visits. One time, once someone left a country, they never had the chance to see their home and family again. Along with travel, there are other practical advantages, like being able to get a patient to a hospital very quickly in a helicopter or a plane.

Can a service dog fly in the cabin of a plane for international travel?

User Avatar

Asked by Kirsten07734

That depends on the country of departure's laws and the country of arrival's laws. Some countries require all dogs, including guide and service dogs, to enter the country as cargo. Check Consular Information Sheets for the individual countries involved to find where to check the regulations for dog import/export. See the link below for Consular Information Sheets.
Yes, on flights originating and arriving at points in the U.S. or U.S. territories. The Air Carrier Access Act requires air carriers to permit service animals to travel in the cabin with their disabled handlers unless an animal physically does not fit in the space allotted to the traveler and there is no other space on board to accommodate them. If the animal will not fit in the cabin, the air carrier must offer to transport the animal as cargo free of charge.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Normally the pilot of a hang-glider will run down a slope and lift off nicely because of the speed of the air-flow over the wings. Once in the air, a hang-glider pilot will use the upward draft caused by wind blowing against a large hill/mountain or by skillfully circling in a thermal.

Can you pack wrapped gifts in your checked luggage?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes, but they still have to meet all the other requirements for carry-on. If there is liquid, it has to be under 3 ounces, and capable of being removed from the packaging for inspection. If is a sweater or something that obviously no sort of "threat", you are probably totally safe, but if it is electronics or something of that sort, there is a small possibility of them wanting to unwrap it to check it out. It may be better off sticking with gift bags for those types of gifts.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Airline travel is the safest form of travel in the World, believe it or not, it is safer than driving a car.

Aplane takes off every 3 seconds around the World, and there are only about 5 or 6 plane crashes IN A YEAR! that just shows how safe it is.

Cars on the other hand crash hundreds of times a day leat alone a year! Think about the ratio, and you will realise that Flying is soo much safer.
