Going to have to diagnose it first to determine what the problem is, post the results then we can determine how you should repair it.
You need to first diagnose and determine what the issue is. You may simply need to tighten the wiper arm, you might need to replace a linkage, you might need to reclock the assembly. Without knowing what your vehicle is, what style of attachment there is for the wiper arms, and without a hands-on diagnosis (which is important when you're dealing with an issue for which there may be more than one possible cause), it's… Read More

Pretty simple... unplug the power wire from the washer fluid pump, pull off the line for the washer fluid, undo the bolts for the bracket holding the reservoir in, pull the whole thing out. Installation is opposite of reverse. You should be able to look at it and figure it out easily enough.
To replace the blade, it just unclips and the new blade clips on. To replace the wiper arm, the black cap at the base of the arm pops up and the arm can be unbolted.
You fix them to the wiper arms usually a snap fit
Unplug the electrical connection at the motor and test to see if it has power. If there isn't power at the connection, then find the cause of it.. could be a relay, a fuse, a switch, or a broken wire. After that, you supply power to the wiper motor (run the ground post to a good ground, supply power with a jumper wire or something like a Power Probe tool). If it doesn't function like… Read More

Start by checking the fuses. If those are good, then you move on to the switch, make sure there's power going to the switch, and make sure the switch has continuity when it is engaged. If that checks out, unplug the wiper motor and ensure that power is getting to the wiper motor. If power is getting to it, jump the wiper motor from a power source other than the wiper motor circuit to verify… Read More

Why are there windshield wipers inside the car?
Make sure that the nuts holding the wiper arms are sufficiently tight to ensure that they move when the shaft turns thus moving the wiper arm.
You need to check for 12v at washer pump connection when washer turned on. If 12v present at harness connector but pump not working, replace pump. If pump is working, but no fluid coming out at wipers, you will need to remove front hose and blow out any debris clogging hose.
Easy, remove the hood, engine cowl and presto !!!.
try checking to see if the motor is working . If the motor runs then you have to replace the wiper arms check with your service manual for proper removal and replacement. i would first check the fuse. then the motor and finally the linkage(arms)

You need to remove the wiper motor and linkage assembly. Then disconnect the motor from the linkage, and turn on the wipers, to see if the motor is running or not. Then when you have the linkage out, manaully move back and forth to see if its binding or not. Usually a bad motor. Unfortunately, MB seems to have many problems with the wiper blade motors.
I don't know why but when I read your post a "check the engine/body grounds" light went off in my head. If you don't have a good ground (check/clean battery cables at both ends and all body grounds) it might cause it to run like you describe.

It does NOT matter that the fuse which keeps "burning out" is in a 1990 IsuzuTrooper!!!!!!!!!! This question, and ALL others like it, should be worded the SAME: WHY DOES A FUSE BURN OUT? A fuse is a FUSE, and it doesn't matter whether it's in a toy, a particular vehicle, or a house. IF an electrical circuit REPEATEDLY causes fuses to "blow out", that is a POSITIVE indication that something is VERY WRONG, probably… Read More

Not a very easy job. If they are merely clogged up, they can be unclogged with a piece of fine wire. Raise the hood and disconnect the hoses from the nozzles; turn on the wiper motor to clean out any debris from inside the hoses; work the wire back and forth through the nozzles from both sides; re-connect the hoses and turn on wiper motor to clean out the nozzles; repeat if necessary. 1. Detach the small hose/line carrying washer fluid from the nozzle on the hatch door 2. pull the wiper arm from the axel of the motor, remove the wiper (if it is rusty, use flat head screw drive to remove) 3. Insert the wiper into new arm 4. Press the new wiper arm onto the wiper motor axel 5. connect the hose/line to the nozzle
it is located on the front of the wiper motor.
the wiper motor is a basicly a relay switch with low mwdium and high and everything but high is burned out and if it works on high and shuts off you need a new wiper motor.
sounds like the park switch in the wiper motor. (needs new wiper motor)
Take off the cowling, and disconnect the wiper arms from the motor shaft. Then remove the 3 bolts holding the Motor, inside the engine compartment. Make note of arm placement, and cycle the motor before connecting the arm. Wrong placement could damage wiper arms, hood, glass ...you. You can watch the process on YouTube; the video will show you how to replace the wiper motor (see Related Links).
Lift wiper assembly off of windshield into "up" position. Rotate 90 degrees. Pull wiper blade assembly gently toward the windshield. It slips right off. Freon (R12) is a refrigerant that started being phased out in the early 90s. The last I knew it was selling for about $50.00 a pound and a car usually takes about 2 pounds. So a simple evacuation, then recharge may cost about $150.00. This however probably wouldn't include diagnosis of the reason why it needs recharging in the first place (ie a leak) so replacing alone will most likely lead to another trip to… Read More
Yes, they both work off your signal light arm, therefore they share wires. I have the same problem on my '93 Silverado, although I have not investigated it yet. I think you're going to have to take the steering column cover off and investigate the wires entering the signal arm. Look for shorts or worn wires or loose connections. Good luck, Jim.
Remove the vent panel located at the base of the windshield. Locate the motor. Replace. Be sure and realign the wipers to specification ... or else, one or both would be offline.
The washer pump is located on the bottom of the washer reservoir on the pasenger side front fender in front of the front wheel. You will need to remove the battery and reach down under the reservoir.
