Northern Territory in Australia has a Chief Minister who is currently in 2010 Hon Paul Raymond Henderson MLA. Originally, the entire region outside eastern Canada was included in the North-West Territory, being generally anywhere north and/or west of Hudson Bay (Rupert's Land). In 1898, "the Yukon" was split from the west side, and on April 1, 1999, the eastern half of the Northwest Territories became the territory of Nunavut.
