Nobody can claim for sure who the first white Jazz musician was but Jelly Roll Morton 'claimed' singularly to have invented Jazz, but this is very unlikely.Besides he played the piano.

Bix Beiderbecke played jazz cornet and was an early jazz/swing Trumpet player.

The other white players of the time have disappeared in the mists of time.
