Prokaryotes were the only kind of life on earth approximately 2 billion years ago. They existed long before eukaryotes ever came into existence at all.
Planet Earth has existed about as long as the Solar System - something like 4.6 billion years. For the future, it is harder to know how long it will last. In a few hundred million years, it is expected to get too hot for life to exist on planet Earth, but the planet will continue existing. In 4 or 5 billion years, Earth will ultimately be swallowed up by the expanding Sun.
Unique means 'one of a kind'. From the information gathered about other planets and the universe, Earth is unique, as far as we can tell, in several ways. It is the only planet known (so far) that has life. And not just life, intelligent life. Also, Earth has water. Enough water to sustain life. And, the water has always stayed in a liquid form. Many scientists are wondering how it has never dried up or frozen. Third, is the moon. It is the largest natural satellite by as a fraction of its primary, in the solar system. It stabilizes the planet's movement, and so, prevents drastic climate changes on the earth, making the temperature just right for life over a very long period of time.
well no one can really say but a very long time ago there was signs of intellegent life on mars so it is very possible that we all came from mars
A long time ago, the elements of were wind, fire, air and water. We now know that there are many more.
earthworms were the third form of life. They have been around for over 2000 years.
Most scientists agree that life on Earth appeared 3.6 billion years ago. The first life forms on the planet were prokaryotes.
2 billions years
2 Billion years
Fossils of prokaryotes have been found in rocks about 3.5 billion years of age and this data fits with the molecular and cellular evidence that prokaryotes are the oldest form of life! An example would be that whales long ago had hind leg bones, but as they evolved, whales began living without hind limbs.
It will last as long as our Sun shines - and that will be for another 5 billion years. Please note that it is estimated that ca. 500-1000 million years from now, the Sun will get too hot for life - even bacteria and other prokaryotes - to exist on planet Earth.
The ostrich is one kind of bird that can hold a life long relationship.
* 3.5 billion years ago the first life arose: prokaryotic bacteria * 1.5 billion years ago eukaryotic cells arose Therefore, prokaryotes were present on earth for 2 billion years prior to the emergence of eukaryotic life.
a man life on earth is basically based on his immunity.
prokaryotic DNA is "naked," meaning that it has no histones associated with it, and it is not formed into chromosomes
