Could be temperature sensor Could be gauge
There could be several things wrong with the system that the thermostat gauge is connected to. You could check to see if the gauge is working correctly. If the gauge works fine, then it could be the housing that the thermostat is mounted to. It could also be a faulty bypass valve near the thermostat which prevents the engine from heating up. Check these places to see what may be wrong with your escort.
if fuel gage is not working on a ford e150 van what do you do to find what is wrong and how do you fix it
your float could be stuck
Ford discontinued the Bronco in '96.
it might be a fuse
The VSS (vehicle speed sensor) may be at fault.
Could be wrong sensor or new sensor could be faulty or the gauge it self is bad
Could you specify what exactly is working improperly, and what it is that it is doing wrong? There is a pretty broad spectrum of possibilities there.
Possibly a leak in the coolant reservoir bottle.
You may need anew thermostat or the fan has stopped working.
When my check engine light comes on, it is caused by the temperature sensor not working. As soon as the light comes on, my temperature drops to cool. If the light goes out, the temp gauge returns to normal.
