"i have a e-350 one ton van with a 7.5 460 and i get about 14 m.p.g hwy or city and it has about 210.000 miles on it and it dosent use any oil between changes."
Over the last 10 years, on dozens of forums across the USA, folks have been contributing their MPG figures. Whether fuel injected or with a carburetor, they generally report mileage figures much lower than 14mpg. Perhaps in a lightweight car or with fuel injection 14 mpg is common but for many, if not most owners...it is only a dream. Search all the forums you can about the Ford 460, this is an issue that has been discussed for decades.
i have the same engine in a 1984 e350 and i get about 8
Depends on what vehicle it is installed in.
9to11mpg highway
About 460-470 km/tank
DePends on how you drive and if your towing and mods but my 1996 f350 7.5l ext cab long bed 2wd gets about 11mpg
Depends on what you are using it for. I have three 460's and when coupled with a C6 trans, produce great tourque but get worse gas mileage. In a truck a 460 is the way to go. 78_ford_dude
If you're buying this engine gas mileage shouldn't be on your mind. Expect 9 to 17 depending on load and road.
Depends on the load i.e. water/fuel tanks full, towing etc but you can count on nothing better than 10 mpg. i think the 460 is a ford engine and its more like 5 mpg.
The Ford 7.5 liter ( 460 cubic inch ) V8 engine is a gas engine
check engine light on,getting poor gas mileage on 1996 Plymouth neon
29?
BIG motor. You can keep it tuned up to increase gas mileage and drive gas conscious.
