Connecting the fan straight to the battery would tell you if the fan works or not. Then I would look at the temperature switch that controls the fan. There are probably 2 or 3 on the car, one for the fan, one for the gauge, and maybe one for the computer, you have to find the right one. It is way cheaper to buy this stuff at a junkyard where you take if off. You could probably get it for $5, where it would cost about $30 otherwise. Same for the fan. Then you can afford to just switch the sensor to see if it is the trouble.

If the Coolent is leaking I strongley suggest you take the car to the dealer or a dealer to get it fixed because if it leaks more it can cause trouble.

Sounds like you have radiator trouble. Have you checked the fluid level in the radiator?

follow the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing and remove the 2 or 3 bolts holding it on and make sure you scrape off the gasket because if you dont and you put the new gasket on it will give yo u a world of trouble

Save yourself time and trouble and replace the complete radiator, which would be available at your local auto parts store.
