All the time or when the brakes are applied. Sounds like it's time for a complete brake replacement. If one is so bad that it's grinding, the other is very close to shot also.
97 grand am rubbing/grinding noise from right front that is not wheelbearing or brakes
have it checked you could have bent the axle and the noise would be the bearing
If its front wheel drive possibly an axle.
Tie-Rod End may be going out. I'm thinking front wheel bearing.
Ball join lubrication or change!
if it is when u are driving it might be thr door or the speaker or if it is closer to the front of the car possibly the transmission
Drive the car on the road about 25 mph. Weave the car left and right. If the noise changes then it is the front wheel bearings.
most grinding noises that come from turning is usually a cv axle that needs to be replaced. Can also be a bad wheel bearing. If you hear the grinding when turning to the right then the left front wheel bearing is bad.
if its when you are breaking it is possible it could be a rotor if you hear like a roaring or grinding noise coming from that side also could be a wheel bearing
If a car is making a grinding noise in the right back wheel, it could be a sign that a wheel bearing is failing. It is necessary to take the car to a qualified mechanic for repair.
Had same problem with mine, if you turn right and it grinds, the left hub bearing is going out and vice versa. The weight of the truck is placed on the bad bearing the opposite way you turn. Should sound like a grind but it is a consistent "noise""quiet""noise""quiet".
More than likely you have a defective left front wheel bearing. Inspect the bearing and also inspect the bearing on the right front. Inspect your brake pads if this is not the problem.
