pH below 7 is termed acidic. pH of 7 is termed neutral (water). pH above 7 is termed basic or an alkaline.
alkaline soils
ammonia and fish
Basic solutions have a pH greater than 7.
abc
Alkaline
a Ph lower than 7 is an acid x that is orange/red the darker the colour the more acidic otherwise Ph 7 is neutral and over 7 is an alkali which goes blue/purple the darker the colour the more alkali x
The pH is under 7.
Having talked to various scienctists we can't seem to agree on this one. We all know it means -log [H]+ but all seem to have different ideas on what is stands for. The general consensus is that it might by power of Hydrogen.
As the PH value decreases the acidity increases .When the PH value is 7 it is neutral. More than 7 it shifts to alkaline(basic) nature. Less than seven it will be acidic.
Yes acids have a pH lower than 7
pH is amplified in logs of 10. For example, a reading of 6 pH is 10 times more acidic than that of 7 and 6 pH is 100 times more acidic than 8 pH. Since 7-3=4, a pH of 3 is 104 or 10,000 times more acidic than a pH of 7.
ph level less than 7----->acid ph level more than 7----->base .....^_^....
It is neutral. When its PH is 7. when its PH is less than 7 it is acidic. when its PH is more than 7 its basic in nature.
Acids - pH less than 7 Base - pH more than 7 Neutral - pH is 7
Acids...the ph value for acids is below 7 whereas for bases it is more than 7
metal oxides are basic in nature.. so their pH is more than 7
more than 7
more than 7!
Alkaline
Ph of a neutral solution is 7. less than that - acidic more alkeline
A pH 2 solution is 100,000 times more acidic than a pH 7 solution. pH 2 is acidic whereas pH 7 is neutral
