I do not know of any FAA approved (i.e The Britax Regent will not fit nor is it FAA approved) car seat that will not fit an airline seat. However, a good tip I've learned is to ask for a belt extender to help make an easier fit. :o)

You are not required to have a car seat on an airplane although it is recommended. Babies can be held by their parents.
