Seen as earth is a planet in the universe, life does exist within it. Statistics say that because the universe goes on infinitely, many billions of planets will have water on them and the correct atmospheric conditions for life to exist. However, we'll never find this information out in our lifetime, as other planets are many millions of light years away, by which time, global warming may have destroyed our planet etc.
