How Dow change a speed sensor in a 98 Chevy cavalier 3 speed?
The speed sensor for a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier is located on the side of the transmission. It has two wires coming out of it.

The speed sensor can then be lifted out of the transaxle. To reinstall a new sensor reverse these steps.

First you put the car on ramps and locate the sensor on the transmission(near passenger side of car), you unplug the wire and remover the single bolt holding the sensor to the transmission then you plug the new sensor in and bolt it back on and last, plug the wire back in and your done. Now take the car off ramps and take it for a ride.

If you have a electrical speedo you don't have a cable. Change the speed sensor in the trans.
