The attack along Battleship Row began at 7:55 am, & by 10 am the last bombs had fallen at the various air bases on the island of Oahu.

110 minutes ~ 7:55am -9:45am

58 minutes according to Britannica Online

There are many different answers because the attack lasted different lengths of time at different locations. The 'Pearl Harbor' attack actually encompassed Pearl Harbor, Ford Island, Hickam Field, Schofield Barracks, and more. The attack was divided into three waves, each arriving at a slightly different time and departing separately.

Japanese commanders considered extending the attack but could not get the planes ready for launch until late afternoon, meaning they would be recovered after dark; they were not trained for this. An alternative was to maintain position and attack again on the 8th but the senior officers knew that to do so invited submarine attack and also that their ships did not have enough fuel to return home if they maneuvered another day. and that is one of the most crappy was to spend your morning.

The Japanese attack actually began with Japanese mini-submarines trying to sneak into the Harbor, which was before the Japanese air attack. For the air attack, the following times are local Hawaiian time on December 7, 1941. The First Wave Strike's Zero fighters started attacking Kaneohe Air Station at 0748 hours. Japanese Strike Leader Fuchida sends the "tora, tora, tora" message to the Japanese Aircraft Carriers at 0753 hours. The First Wave Strike's Val Dive-bombers started attacking Pearl Harbor, Hickam Field, & Wheeler Field at 0755 hours. At 0839 hours the First Wave Strike attack ended and those aircraft started their return to the Carriers. At 0854 hours the Second Wave Strike attack started. At 0945 hours this attack ended. This was the final attack. There was no Third Wave planned. So in summary, the start of the attacks was at 0748 hours, and the attacks ended at 0945 hours. That is 117 minutes total from start to end of the air attack.

Hawaiian time on that day was 5 hours & 30 minutes behind the Eastern US time zone (Washington, DC), and 10 hours & 30 minutes behind Greenwich Mean Time (London).

The Japanese cabinet decided to declare war (after the attack) at 1530 hours (3:30pm) on December 7, 1941 Hawaiian time. The Japanese newspapers announced the Japanese declaration of war at midnight December 7, 1941 (Hawaiian time).
