Newton's third law of motion is the one related to the transfer of momentum when a bat strikes a ball. His third law of motion tells us that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

The Law of Conservation of Momentum is Newton's law of motion.

The sum of the forces equal zero: 1st and 3rd laws of newton.

0= f1 + f2 = dP1/dt + dP2/dt=d(P1 + P2)/dt thus P1 +P2 = constant

All of Newton's laws allow hitting a ball with a bat. All three laws come into play when describing what happens when kinetic energy is transfered between two bodies. If this is a trick question--then none of Newton's laws will allow you to hit the ball, that takes hand to eye coordination. Good Luck!

Newtons third law is about the conservation of energy. It forces the two forces to be equal therefore forcing the sum to be zero.

What is the momentum of a 500 kg truck before it strikes a 300 kg parked car?

Momentum defined as p=mv.. The momentum of the truck depends on its velocity

How is momentum transfered when golf club hits a golf ball?

The golf ball, initially at rest, has no initial momentum. The velocity the moment before the club strikes the ball and the clubs mass multiply to get the initial momentum. The ball then gains much momentum in the direction of the clubs initial momentum. Since there golfers arm is remaining attached to the shoulder the clubs acceleration is directed towards his shoulder and the momentum is directed in a circular direction.

A 0.068-kilogram ball with a velocity of 22.1 meters per second strikes a wall. The wall stops the ball in 0.36 second. What is the average magnitude of the force applied to the ball by the wall?

The law of momentum is Ft = mv; so F = mv/t = 4.17 Newtons

Is momentum destroyed when a falling ball strikes the earth?

In short, no. The momentum is not destroyed, but rather imparted onto the earth. However, because the earth is so huge, the momentum given has almost zero change on the earth's speed.

A piece of putty moving with 1 unit of momentum strikes to a heavy bowling ball that is initially at rest After the putty sticks to the ball both are set in motion with a combined momentum that is?

1 unit.

Does a speeding missile posses a force?

A speeding missile, or any moving object, has momentum. Force was used to cause it to move in the first place. If this object strikes another object, it will then exert a force on the object that it strikes.

Object A strikes object B the momentum of object B increase what happens to the momentum of object A?

You can't think of momentum as simply "increasing" and "decreasing" - you have to consider momentum as a vector. If in a collision one object's momentum changes by a certain amount, call it "a", the momentum of the other object will change by the opposite amount, "-a" - both "a" and "-a" are vectors that add up to zero. If you consider only the magnitudes of the momentum, by conservation of energy the momenta can't both increase - but they can certainly both decrease, when objects collide head-on.

Why does a bullet when fired against a glass window pane make a hole in it and the glass pane will smash it?

when a bullet strikes the glass pane with a high velocity, the larger part of the glass plane do not get enough time to share the momentum due to inertia of rest and only that part which is in contact of the bullet is blown off according to the law of conservation of momentum But when a slow moving stone strikes the glass plane a larger part of the glass is able to share the momentum and therefore it smashes the glass
