I am assuming that you refer to the challenge that won him his crown. Oedipus met a sphinx that guarded a city. In order to free the city he had to answer her riddle correctly, but if he answered incorrectly she would kill him. The riddle was what goes up the hill on four legs in the morning, has two legs at midday on the top, and has three legs as it goes down the hill at evening. The answer is a man (baby, man, then old man with a cane). Since Oedipus answered correctly, he was allowed to pass and freed the city. In gratitude the city made him king.

Well, to start off in the land of cyclops he had to face the cyclops. And he took care of that fast when he stabbed him in the eye with the big pointy stick he made with his crew. Then when they left the cyclops island the guy in the movie with that Flute ate all the food so a few of the crew guys starved to death because all of the food was gone for 3 1/2 days and then they found another island and they met the witch who fed them Hot Dogs and chili dogs and it turned them into animals.

Odysseus had his crew securely tie him to a ships mast and stuff their ears so that they wouldn't hear the sirens and only Odysseus would hear them. When the were close to the sirens, their song would make Odysseus scream and struggle to get to them. When they were safely far enough away from the sirens, Odysseus would stop his screaming and struggling and the crew would know it was safe for them to remove their ear plugs and untie Odysseus.
