For example, the war of troy, originaly in the myth, Aeneas, son of Aphrodite (venus) founded the Roman Empire after troy was destroyed. So the Romans called him Ulysses meaning "Cursed one" in latin (or something like that), and is looked upon as a destroyer and a villain. When in Greek mythology, he is looked upon as a hero, or in some cases the cunning hero in greek myths. As he won the Trojan war for the Greeks, they love him but Romans/italinas in myths hate him.
So basically thy are both very similar civilizations, and should have been the best of friends, but the Romans conquered the greecians and used some citizens as slaves.
France is similar to countries near it because they are all a part of Europe. They also each value their culture, food, religion, and artwork.
