Both Archaea and Bacteria are very similar. They both are single-celled prokaryotes that have cell walls and cell-membranes. The main difference between is their chemical structure and where they live. Archaea have a different compositions of both their cell walls and lipid membranes. Archaea can also live in extreme environments such as at the bottom of the sea by extremely hot hydrothermal vents.
