It doesn't. Whether the parents are married or not plays no part. Growing up with a single parent can be a factor though and especially if the parent was a teen. Sometimes young parents have a tendency to become friends with their child when they get older instead of being a parent. If they clash during the teen years the child might not have anyone to turn to and then starts to listen more to bad friends and get into trouble. We know that the majority of teen moms don't have their father present and many choose to get pregnant because they feel no one loves them or that they have no one to love. The factors are many but marriage has nothing to do with it. If the parents live together as married or if they actually are married makes no difference. It will not change your parenting.
