Because they don`t have a natural balance
Nonnative species have no natural controls or competitors and will become more and more invasive. They can crowd out native species until they no longer exist.
It could destroy a whole ecosystem or foodweb.
The fish shares a niche with another species
|I would expect the smaller ecosystems to have a high species richness and smaller ecosystems to have low species richness because the biodiversity in the smaller ecosystem is actually larger than the larger ecosystem causing many problems in the atmosphere... which over time can cause a extinction towards many living organisms.
Bio-indicator species are species that indicate changes in the environment. They are monitored to assess human impacts on ecosystems. For example, if the number of frogs in a marsh are very low , it means the humans impact on that marsh is very high.

A species that does not normally live in an area
a non native species is a species that isn't within a certain ecosystem.

pine
Its when exotic species destroy or alture the ecosystems of native species
none
I thinks it where ecosystems where species are endangered are called hotspots
I don't think they would be synonymous. Nonnative species can live in a habitat without causing any adverse effects on that habitat, the nonnative species can become invasive if it causes any negative effects on the habitat. An example of a nonnative invasive species would be the python in the Florida swamp land. These hardy snakes are wreaking havoc by eating fish, birds, even alligator eggs and babies! The two words are often used interchangeably because it is often hard to find nonnative species that do not harm the environment they are introduced to, but it is possible and seen in some fish and bird introductions.
