Photosynthesis and cellular respiration are similar in the sense that they are simply (and only when talking about the SIMPLE aspect of it) the opposites of each other.
EX -- 6 CO2+ 6 H2O → C6H12O6+ 6 O2 is the formula for photosynthesis.
C6H12O6+ 6 O2→ 6 CO2+ 6 H2O is the formula for cellular respiration.
LITERALLY.
They are different because the actual processes and cycles that happen during photosynthesis and cellular respiration (respectively) are completely different.

The substances released from the caused reaction are oxygen and sugar. Sugar can also be put as the term glucose. Cellular respiration is basically the opposite Cellular respiration can be used by a producer as well as a consumer to make food and energy. In this, the consumer or producer take in both oxygen and glucose, and the substances released from the reaction are carbon dioxide and water.

Photosynthesis: H2O + Light Energy + CO2 ---> O2 + Carbohydrate (glucose)
Respiration: Carbohydrate + O2 ---> H2O + ATP + CO2

In photosynthesis you need a plant cell. it also uses mesophyll, stomata, guard cells, chlorophyll, the thylakoid membrane, mitochondria etc
in respiration organelles used are the mitochondria, plasma membrane, ribosmes, Golgi apparatus.
