Some cool facts about wolf Spiders are they can flip on their backs. Also their eyes glow at night when the light flashes on it. The female carries her hatchlings on her back so the babies don't get washed away. The wolf spider is not harmful to humans, but harmful to animals. Their bite will hurt a human though but not badly. It protects itself by moving real fast and using its natural camouflage. It can produce 100-300 babies at a time.
Wolf spiders have two big hairy things that look like teeth. But they aren't, they're something else. Wolf spiders are furry and their color is usually grayish-brownish color.

The wolf spider is named the wolf spider because it hunts with similar tactics to a wolf. The similarity is that wolf spiders do not make webs like other spiders. Instead, they chase their prey until they are weak and then insert their venom and finally biting them so they die.

Ttheir family name, Lycosidae, derives from the Greek word for "wolf" ΛΥΚΟΣ, (lycos).
