Well, snakes belong to the suborder Serpentes, and there are probably more than 2900 species of snake. My grandfather when I was a very young child had captured one that was 7 ft. long. this was a diamond back ratteler in these parts. This event was documanted by the Lincoin County News. This would of been back in the early 60's. A picture was also put in the paper of my grandfather holding it up in the air.
