A treaty has been introduced to protect Antarctica. many countries have signed up and it is now against the law to break this treaty.

Rules of treaty:

The following measures have been taken :

1) Restrictions on flights flying overhead : A single long-haul return flight, say from the UK to Australia, South America or the Far East can release about as much CO2 as driving 15,000 miles in a fairly standard 1.6L car .

2) Ban on vehicles ( SUV'S ) : Especially to ones that don't comply with required emission norms.

3) Creating general public awareness of global warming and it's consequences

4) Ban in the use of hydrfluorocarbond CFC/ HFC / HCFC in gadgets, especially refrigerators.

(introduced 14 January 1998 entry into force of the Antarctic Environmental (Madrid) Protocol, then became international law following formal ratification by Japan, the last of the 26 Antarctic Treaty Member nations to do so.

There is also eco-tourism, a way of responsible traveling and tourism in and around a natural area that conserves that area and the well being of the people there.

stop global warming. so recycle, walk/cycle, turn off lights exc. Make electric cars to reduce the harmful fumes. Oh ja.

that would be an excellent answer if global warming was real! Did you hear the news about the scientists researching global warming? They only published information supporting it. No wonder so many people believe in it. Very true my son.
