Bimetalic strips are composed of two metals with different properties in the case of fire alarms it is the difference in thermal expansion that is important. When the strip is heated (due to a fire) the strip bend and can complete an electric circuit setting off the alarm.
it consists of strips madeof two different metals with different coefficient of expansion.use as fire alarm etc...
a fire would bend the strip which would complete the circuit for an alarm. When cooled, it might complete another circuit, answering your second question.
A bimetallic strip consist of two metals in order to detect rapid changes in temperature. Used in conjunction with some fire alarm systems, bimetal strips will detect rapid changes in temperature using the differences in expansion rate of the two metals. As one half of the strip expands more rapidly than the other, it will cause the strip to bow or bend causing it to touch a nearby contact sensor thus activating the ' rate of rise' temperature sensor, which may or may not be tied into an alarm system.
A fire alarm is usually the constant ringing of a bell or bells
It is used in fire alarm and in earthquake alarm.
it is used in fire alarm .
Well 2 uses are in an iron and in a fire alarm
Fire alarm sound, anbulance siren sound, alarm bell sound and car theft alarm.
To meet fire code requirements, an emergency alarm must be a "distinctive" signal, so it will not be confused for something ordinary.
