Usually when a camera or a memory stick is connected a little icon appears in the bottom right corner. To safely remove said memory stick or camera, click the icon and select the piece you want to remove. This button is called "safely remove hardware". If you have lots of things plugged in several options may appear.

Assuming you mean the camera is connected directly via a USB or similar cable, and subject to any specific instructions that came w/ your camera (in the camera manual or on line) or another operating system (like Linux), removal is simliar to a flashdrive inserted into a USB port:

PC running Microsoft Windows:

In the system tray (lower right hand corner) there will be an icon indicating there is a device attached to your computer. It may be the camera, but more often will be something like a "mass storage device" (in part because the memory card or stick in your camera is such a device.

1. Right click on the icon;

2. wait until you get a message saying the device may be removed safely. When that message appears you can left click to remove the message.

3. Disconnect the connector cable.

Mac running Mac OS:

Locate the device on your desktop. It may be something called "No Name" or it could be the specific camera.

1. Drag the icon to the trash bin; this is the equivalent of eject.

2. Once there, you can disconnect the connector cable.

Alternatively you should consider buying a "card reader" that you can leave permanently attached to a desktop or a printer that has a card reader built in to it. Then you'd simply remove the storage device from your camera and insert it into the reader. You may still have to follow the above procedure upon completion of the file transfers, which is also recommended.

How can a digital camera be safely removed from a computer?

If you are running Windows, you should be able to go to "My Computer", right click on the device, and select "Safely Remove." There is also an option on the taskbar (bottom right) that should look like a grey pendrive: click appropriate device and select "Safely Remove." If running on a Mac, you should be able to drag the device icon from the desktop to the trash (which should change to an eject symbol as you drag the icon)

Photos from a Digital Camera: Don?

One of the biggest issues plaguing digital camera owners is the likelihood that multiple holidays may pass, and images are still stored safely away on the memory card of said camera. When purchasing a digital camera, shoppers should have an active game plan to enjoy the images captured by their sought after purchase. No matter if the preference is to store images electronically to share on social networks or to display cherished printed images throughout the home, the pictures must leave the camera to see the light of day. A commitment to not forgetting the photos from a trusty digital camera is a must.

If you take the film out of the disposable camera when you have no more picture's will it ruin the picture's?

Disposable cameras start with the entire roll of film wound up OUTSITE the spool/canister. As you take pics, and wind the film, the negatives are moved into the canister, so, when you have taken all the pics, and fully wound the film on, it can then be safely removed from the camera. No point, really, bacause you will be unable to reset a fresh roll into that camera...
