- It is obvious you love your husband and have some insecure feelings as to how a wife should love and treat her husband. Instead of wondering what to say to your husband try communicating on a better basis with him. You should never be afraid to discuss any issues with each other. Take a quiet time out for the two of you and express your feelings and let him express his. It is up to your husband to decide if you love him like a wife should because he could be perfectly happy with you and it sounds as if you are second guessing yourself. The word 'wife' has many meanings and throughout one generation after the other the wife's duties begin to fall into a gray area. Years ago up until the 1950's women were to stay home; look after children; cook; clean and plan for any social events. In today's modern world both partners often work and have to juggle all the above (also raising children) and it is difficult to maintain balance of taking time out for the spouses to be together. These are things you should discuss with your husband and try to come up with ideas to change things neither of you are happy with. No relationship is 100% perfect and it takes hard work to maintain a balance regarding romance in the marriage.
