Considering that this hasn't been achieved yet, at least not very thoroughly, it would seem that this won't be easy. It is definitely not something that one single person can achieve alone.One thing that I consider VERY important is to reduce all kinds of prejudices and discrimination. For example, if people discriminate against other people on the basis of:
* Citizenship
* Skin color or other race-related features
* Gender (whether you are male, female, etc.)
* Sexual preferences (whether you are heterosexual, gay, etc.)
* Religion or lack of religion
* Education level
* Or any of several other characteristics
... any of these would severely hinder a process of world peace.
What YOU can do, then, is try to recognize these in yourself and make a conscious effort to get rid of them; as well as promote non-discrimination among other people.
Only by means of a righteous powerful government, our Creator's Kingdom.
(Dan 2:44 ; Ps 37:9-11,29)
Sincerely E
Like in movies, "World Peace" is a dream, but unachievable among humans.
Peace is not a paradox. A paradox is defined as something which contradicts itself or something that goes against received opinion. World peace may be a paradox, but peace as a general concept isn't, some peace can be achieved.
The answer is love.
Peace can be achieved through violence. World peace can be at least. If one civilization destroys all others and then only the true inhabitants of that place restored the population to what it was before through years of reproduction. Then if they were shipped of to the rest of the world. But, there would still be violence on lesser scales. I believe that complete and utter peace is unachieveable. This is the only way i can think of. there might be more but, i haven't heard any.
Achieving world peace is a popular topic in today's world and many people would be inclined to give a speech on how it can be achieved. Surely it would start with understanding different cultures and letting go of discriminatory tendencies.
If you're asking "what is the purpose of the series Harry Potter", I would say that entertainment and interest is the purpose. And it has certainly achieved that.If you are talking about what is achieved, or they tried to achieve, throughout the story, then in a nutshell that would be Magical World Peace and the downfall of Lord Voldemort.
Well, technically, when the Buddha (Buddhism) Siddhartha Gautama achieved enlightenment, he was at peace and understanding with all of the world. This was around 500 BC, when Buddhism was discovered. Peace was discovered when man first got along so 1000s of years ago
'Peace in our time'
It depends on your definition of 'peace'. In ancient Rome, Pax Romana (the Roman peace) was achieved by waging war and subjugating all other cultures to their rule. Sure, peace is better than war, but you only have peace when you have killed everyone who doesn't think you should rule the world.
This means that you should not fight to get peace
There will be many challenges and deaths and incomplete journeys before anyone will ever decide that it is the right time for peace. Since not one person in the world has ever been flawless, peace has never been achieved. As the world grows older, people will disappear and appear again until there is no more universe, no more earth. We can try to help one another and love each other, hard as it is, but world peace is infinitely complicated and impossible.
