remove door panel and you will be able to remove the switch from the back side
Removing the door panel can make it never quite go back on right. Better, and probably easier, to get at it from the other side:
Under the door handle is a small oval panel, maybe about 3 inch by 1/2 inch. It can be pried out fairly easily. Inside there are 2 large Philips head screws. Remove them. Now you can carefully pry out the section of hard plastic they were holding, the lower part of the handle. After that is out, you can pry up the upper part of the handle. Careful, there will be bundles of wires attached to the switch assembly. Each of the 3 bundles has a connector to the assembly, held on by a clip. I'm not sure exactly which contacts connect to which switches, but as soon as I get a meter handy, I'm going to check.
