Go to settings and click on wifi. Choose the Internet connection you want
With iPod touches, you connect to WiFi, which is local, like on a computer. It is free, if you have the code to the network (if it is locked) If It's not locked, it is the owner of the Wifi Router's folly! In an airport, for example, there might be a connection, but to connect, you have to pay, via a website that comes up asking for a credit card. If there is no local connection around, there is no internet. The local connections have a small area in which they broadcast, like the ares around a house, unlike an iPhone connection, which is almost everywhere, and costs heaps too.
I'm gonna tell you now I'm on mine right now. If its locked I think it's a router maybe and it's a password. Or if u go to McDonald or friendlys has free wifi
You need to go to a place with WiFi connection or get WiFi connection where you live.
try and open up and app that requires internet connection a list will appear asking you to select a wifi connection if there is a little lock icon then you need the password to use that wifi connection if theree isn't a lock icon next to the name of the internet connection then just select it.
You find were you can use it
If you have been able to connect to this specific WiFi before, then I can't help you, but if this is a new WiFi connection, then the WiFi must not be compatible with the iPod touch for whatever reason. I would recommend going to Starbucks or Ralphs or some place like that where there is free WiFi until the problem is solved.
No, you cannot get internet on your ipod touch without a wifi connection.
The iPod touch can remember any number of WiFi passwords at once. It won't forget yours if you connect to a friend's network.
Connect it to your wifi connection Under settings go to wifi and if your wifi is hooked up touch your network put in your password and look a the top left corner if wifi shows up you are good to go.
Have wifi connection
You have to configure your wifi connection. For that, go to Settings, and Wifi. Choose your wifi network, enter the password if needed, and you're done. You can find help here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1695 (remember iPod Touch has only wifi connectivity)
