### How do you convert 1 feet by 12 feet into square meters?

There are several ways, you can convert feet into meters then
multiply the two meter measurements to end up with square meter
area
OR you can multiply the feet to get area in square feet (1*12) =
12 square feet and then convert the square feet in to square
meters.

### Using unit analysis how can you convert meters to inches?

In unit analysis, conversions are expressed as a ratio that is
equivalent to 1. Instead of saying:
1 meter = 39.37 inches
you say:
1 = 39.37 inches / 1 meter
This way when you want to convert, say 12 meters to inches, you
just multiply as follows:
12 meters x (39.37 inches / 1 meter)
which is the same as multiplying by 1.
This is then reformulated as:
(12 x 39.37 meter inches) / 1 meter
Then you cancel out the meters from the numerator and the
denominator as follows:
(12 x 39.37 meter inches) / 1 meter
And do the remaining math:
12 x 39.37 inches / 1 = 472.44 inches
The nice thing about doing it this way is that the "units" of
your answer are automatically determined by doing the math.
