why would you want to do that in the first place manuals are more durable and easier to work on. I wouldn't
It can be done, but it's definitely NOT a job for the amateur backyard mechanic. You'd probably be looking at $2000-$3000 for this to be done by a professional.
Don'tSwitching this vehicle to an A/T would be cost prohibitive and IMO a bad idea. My advice, if you must have an automatic, is to sell this Jeep and purchase one with an A/T. And what ever you do, do not buy a 4 cylinder Jeep with an A/T. Get the 4.0 In-line 6 cylinder. The 4 cylinder is OK with a manual transmission but when hooked to an A/T, is not a pleasure to drive. The in-line 6 is also a much more dependable engine and the extra power makes the Jeep Wrangler an all around better vehicle. The cost of converting a Jeep Wrangler from a manual transmission to an automatic one will be approximately $4,000 in parts alone. If you choose to have a mechanic do the work, it will be approximately another $1,000 to $1,500. These figures depend on your geography and the skill level of the mechanic in question.
Converting a manual transmission to automatic transmission is not possible but you can replace a manual transmission to an automativ transmission . That is also an expensive deal.
yes
Converting from the stock auto to the stock AX15 tranny is no problem. It uses the same mounts and everything.
how much you got??????????????
Have a donor vehicle for the necessary parts. Otherwise, get ready to spend more money on parts than you thought possible to convert this vehicle to manual. A very simple and wise decision is to sell this Wrangler and go buy one with a Manual transmission. You will be money ahead.
You must be kidding!!! Sell this car and buy an automatic.
Purchase a vehicle with an automatic transmission.
Why the hell would you want to?
Sure! But it would probably be cheaper to buy another car.
Yes, a 2004 Mazda 6 can be converted from an automatic transmission to a manual transmission. However, it is very time consuming and will cost a lot of money to do this.
If it's an automatic, most likely a Turbo 350.
