How can you find the ashtray cigarette lighter jack on a 1997 cavalier or do some models not have one?

i have a 97 Z24, the ciggarette lighter jack is to the right of the steering wheel by the lever for the wipers, washers, if it isn't there then look on the center console on the rear side of the gear shift/chooser.

How do you remove ashtray from a f 150?
The 1998 - 2009 models have 2 plastic clips attached to the top rear portion of the ashtray that must be slightly pulled down about 1/4" to clear it from catching on the compartment slot. Once this is done the ashtray can be pulled out for removal and to reinstall it the 2 plastic clips must again be depressed and the ashtray can then be pushed into the slot.

It depends on the type of cavalier motor you have. If the 96 cavalier tranny has no dipstick then you will have to change the computer as well the 95. It's not worth it, find something in the 95,97,98,99,00 models.
Where is the power connector for the center console of a 2009 dodge caravan?
I know in earlier year models the power is tapped from the backside of the cigarette lighters wiring harness and then routed under the carpet to the center console connection. I'm unaware if they have included this in the newer models now or if it still must be tapped from the lighter harness.

The 1998 Honda Civic models were not available with auxiliary outputs. The cigarette lighter was used power outlet in those vehicles. To replace the outlet press down the side prongs so the assembly can come off. Then unplug the wires. Replace by plugging in the wires and sliding in the new lighter assembly.
