How can you fix a nonstop moving wiper of a 1996 volkswagen jetta trek?

In general, most electric wiper motors have a "home" position at which the motor is to stop when the switch is turned off. If the home position is not detected there is probably a fault in the motor assembly.

It is under the cowl thing. You must remove the wipers. MAKE SURE YOU MARK THE LOCATION OF THE WIPERS ON THE WINDSHIELD.

Basically it if your standing in front of the car looking at the engine it is in the back left corner where the windshield wiper comes to rest just about.

Tip: if you purchase the replacement blades first, there will also be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.

You will find the windshield wiper relay on a 1995 VW Jetta GLS under the hood. It is located in the fuse (relay) housing.

Its actually very easy once you purchase the correct replacement wiper blades. The 2009 Jetta has special "push button" wiper arm attachments. Not all wiper blades fit these arms so be sure to lookup your new wipers by vehicle make, model and year. Then watch the video below for installation procedure.
