Also, brushing your hair can cause these to. Start brushing your hair all the way down and work your way up. Also, use pantene shampoo and condisiner to help.

and believe it or not it is a scientific proven fact that you can also get split ends by putting your hair up if you do not wait at least 2 weeks after you get a haircut whether you get layers or not. To protect your hair from split ends follow your hairdressers instructions.

∙ 16y agoperms causes hair breakage and sometimes braids when braids are tight around your edges its actually pulling your hair that can cause hair breakage Also blow dryers, curling irons, straightening irons and the environment along with possibly a poor diet. Go to a good salon and buy a good shampoo and conditioner for your hair. DON'T wash and blow dry your hair everyday! Most women don't need to wash their hair every single day and by doing so you are robbing your scalp and hair of oils. Every week give your hair a good oil treatment. You can find oil treatments in your drug store. Stay away from shampoos from grocery stores because most of them contain dish soap. Go to that good salon. The products are more expensive, but they last a long time. I use the AVG products and for a mousse (love it) I use EMOTION insolent mousse which comes in a light silvery lime green squirt bottle. I have had lots of compliments on my shiny and healthy hair and I'm 65! For now keep getting the dead ends cut off your hair until the treatment you are using brings your hair back to a healthy shine.

∙ 7y agoHair ages over time and then it gets more fragile. Then it starts splitting, when it splits it stops hair growth on that piece of hair. The proper way to treat it is to go to a hair salon and cut 1-2 inches of hair off so then it can grow longer but will eventually split again.
