How can you make more time to work out?

The keywords in this question are that you have to "make time". We all have excuses as to why we don't want to work out. We may feel tired or just don't think we have time. You will have time if you cut out activities that are time wasters. You don't have to multitask, but instead prioritize. Do you watch TV? Then you have time to exercise. Do you spend time reading magazines? Then you have time to exercise. Do you sleep in on the weekends? Then you have time to exercise. Modify how much time you put into these activities and shift that free time over to exercise. For example, cut out an hour or two of TV per day. Spend the time in the gym. If you "must" watch TV then join a gym that has treadmills by TV screens. Pack your exercise gear with you when you go to work. Change into them and head to the gym right after work. If you head home you will sit down or get distracted. You most likely won't go to the gym. Prioritize. Make exercise on the top of your time list. JillianG is right. It isn't easy to make time, but the rewards of making it a habit will pay off. I have made time at 6:00AM and at 5:30 PM. Before or after work. I have found that once I get there for 3-4 times a week for a few months, it gets much easier. One technique that has helped is when I plan to go, and the time arrives, but I REALLY DON'T FEEL LIKE IT, I go anyway and tell myself if after 5 minutes I still don't feel like it, I leave. I rarely end up leaving and these potentially missed workouts turn out to be some of the best. Another technique is to get involved with someone else that you can depend on to help you get there, and conversley help them get there when they don't feel like it.
