One of the most important things might be to set a number of goals. Don't make them too big! Just little goals at first, that you are pretty sure you can accomplish. As you become more accustomed to setting and meeting your own goals, you should gain confidence in yourself.
Another thing would be to "argue" with your inner voice, when it may be trying to tell you you are unworthy or inadequate. What is "unworthy"? What is "inadequate"? Nobody should have the right to apply those labels to you, and especially not yourself!
Ask yourself, "What do I feel the least confidence in myself about?" Also ask, "Why?" and "Why does that matter to me?" Look for areas in which you do feel confident, and take pleasure in those! Sometimes, asking the right questions and answering them honestly can help make the "ghosts" go away.
