Honestly I don't think you CAN get linseed oil off of anything. I know people who have found dried linseed oil paint in their hair 2 months (and dozens of showers) after leaving a jobsite. Linseed oil does one thing very well- it permiates and infiltrates most any surface it comes into contact- that is why it is such a good preservative for wood, masonry and even metal. Geting it off your skin is tough enough using paint thinners, turpentine, etc, and really you're just diluting it (oh, and it's being partially absorbed into your skin too).

You can try a heat gun, but linseed oil is very difficult to remove. Linseed oil is often used as paint brush cleaner or as a medium for creating lotions and body oils. If it is spilled, simply wipe it up and then clean the area with soap and water.

Why do people put palm oil in their hair?

I've been putting oil in my hair since I had hair. Basically, it's mostly because it prevents you from getting dandruff because it keeps your scalp moist. Also, shampooing, conditioning, and burning you hair in every way possible dries the scalp. Plus, it makes your hair really soft and shiny. And if you live in the city, like New York, the oil protects you from getting something in your hair. And massage it in your scalp if you put oil in your hair. :)
