Assuming this is a front door leak? The problem is probably a worn rubber seal where the glass meets the window (where window comes out of the door). For temporary fix, I sealed the area with electrical tape (window up) and it works fine. You have to also tape over the switches for that window too or you will constantly be replacing the tape or maybe even a window regulator........very very expensive. I took my car to the dealer originally and they said it would take a long time to find a window leak. I'll bet they already knew what it was. When I got home and really looked at it it was a no brainer. Of course, the final solution is to replace the original rubber seal.
