∙ 15y agoOn the internet (preferably Google), search for and install "Advanced Windows Care 2 Personal". When you open the program, there is display of your OS, processor info, Graphics card, and ram. Also you get your computer optimized for free.
If you have vista on the other hand, just click system information on windows help and support.

∙ 12y agoA PC can't work without a graphic card, you either can have on-board graphic card or a standard graphic card that mounts on motherboard just like other parts.
The standard on-board video display of most PCs is of very low quality, barely able to cope with VGA graphics, and probably limited to 640*400 or similar display settings. In general, if your display is very grainy, with large pixels, and you cannot run any of the games requiring a video card, you probably are running on the onboard video.
If a video card is installed, this could be a hardware fault or a driver issue. Else, make sure someone with technical knowledge takes a look under the hood.
To check about the graphic card you do the following: Go Start>Run>Type dxdiag , when a window appears> Go Display and there it shows the information about graphic card.
