I know it may feel a bit embarrassing and definetly awkward telling your parents you are going out with someone for the first time, but the sooner you tell them the better. If you leave it until too late, the pressure and suspense will build up, and it will be even harder to explain it all. The best thing to do is tell them straight away, and make sure they approve of the boy/girl you are dating. You never know; maybe your mum or dad had experienced the dating for the first time and they may have some good tips for you!
