What do you mean by not doing the job?? Do you have a loss of power, wont start?
Bad fuse or fuel pump inertia switch " tripped " or bad wiring connection
It is inside of the fuel tank and it comes out of the top of the tank. Must remove the fuel tank to get to the fuel pump.
drop the fuel tank. pump sits in top of tank
Blown fuel pump fuse, defective fuel pump relay, or loose or broken wiring.
check for power at the fuel pump assy wire plug on top or near fuel tank check fuses I'd guess if all the wiring checked out that the fuel pump itself was bad
I replaced the fuel pump in my 1999 SLT2500 Suburban. I did not have to reset anything to get it to start
After 2004 Chevy started putting the fuel filter inside of the fuel tank. That's why you can't find it.
Blown fuel pump fuse, or defective fuel pump relay. This is assuming all wiring is good.
check your fuel filter
no power to the fuel injectors 1995taurus 3.8 engine
There is a short in the wiring or the fuel pump has locked up.There is a short in the wiring or the fuel pump has locked up.
should plug in on one side and be threaded on the other side and right below where the driver sits under the vehicle if it is a fuel injected vehicle you need to relieve the system pressure first
Under and slightly behind the driver, tucked up into the frame.
There is a fuel pump relay too and its located under the dash below the steering wheel. There is also a fuel pump fuse.
loosing power to the fuel pump could be a shorted wire, if that were the case you would have blown a fuse, also your fuel pump could have gone out
Ford is the only one that used a Inertia switch ( safety switch ) You have to remove the fuel pump relay are the fuse.
Bad relay, No power to relay, Wiring from relay to pump and our most likely problem is, the fuel pump is bad. changed it already
Blown relay, bad connection in the wiring to the fuel pump, short or bad ground in the wiring, or bad solenoid in the pump. It requires a more in-depth diagnosis in order to narrow it down.
The main cause of a power steering pump failure is a way to gasket. Electronic fuel pumps can fail due to wiring problems.
I think the easiest way is to carefully unplug the wiring connection to the fuel pump inertia switch that is in the right front passenger footwell by the kick panel . That way the electrical circuit to the fuel pump is " broken " and no power gets to the electric fuel pump
No there is not, only ford used an Inertia switch.I would check the fuel pump relay and fuse first if fuel pump won't run. Then you need to make sure you have power back on the top of the fuel tank where the wiring connector hooks to the top of the fuel pump sending unit. If you have power there then replace fuel pump.
you could have a short in your wiring, or your fuel pump might need to be replaced(short, damaged, draws too much power)
Wasnt there a recall on this part? You might want to check that out. Could get it for free.
The filter should be on the inside of the driver side frame rail about in the middle of the vehicle.
