Either replace it or install a manual gauge to determine actual oil pressure
Most 1991 sending units on a 1991 Le Sabre screw in. The exact location for the sending unit will depend on which one needs changing.
Do you mean the Temp sending unit, oil pressure sending unit, or fuel level sending unit?
The temperature sending unit can be checked cold, and then hot, for resistance change. The test is performed with an ohm meter.
Remove the rear seat...You'll see the sending unit with the connectors(it's a metal plate)...Remove all the screws, unplug the connectors and hoses and the whole sending unit comes out in one piece....It's very easy//

wher is the oil sending unit for a 1999 ford f250 v10 triten located on moter
Most likely it is the fuel level sending unit that has gone bad. This would have to be replaced.
The sending unit for the fuel gauge is inside the fuel tank with the electric fuel pump ( I believe fuse # 17 - 15 amp - is for the fuel gauge on a 1991 Ford Explorer )
Here is some info on how to test a fuel sending unit: https://www.fillingstation.com/articles/fuelgaugetesting.htm Here is a video of the process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJkuEH2aqMU
Next to the oil filter.
You can test your 1997 Oldsmobile 2.4 liter engine oil pressure sending unit with a diagnostic tester. The diagnostic tester is the most reliable way to make sure your sending unit is working properly.
