How can you use none the less in a sentence?

(This is one word, nonetheless, meaning regardless, anyway, or in spite of an adverse event. The use is practically synonymous with nevertheless, which can be used as a direct adverb. In modern usage, following sentences almost always use the word however instead.)

He is the lesser of two evils to be sure, but an evil nonetheless.

Her assistants did not arrive, but she attended the meeting nonetheless.

He was vain, but nonetheless practical, and wore his spectacles to the theater.
