The satellite TV software is a scam. Using it, you just use freely available streams from !@#$loads of providers (and some secret-sauce links they've found somewhere on the internet). Just look up all the streams online using Google! or Yahoo Altavista using terms like "rtsp bbc stream" or "mms itv1" in Discussions searches.

There are over websites and softwares which allow you to watch whatever you like.
All the above however is a demand thing which means you can watch anything at any time. If you want to watch proper TV, you can buy a TV aerial for a computer.
