How to Use Canadian TemperatureSometimes in the answer part, there would be some temperatures in it. Well, this is how you tell how cold or warm it is because in some other countries, you tell it differently. So 0 degrees is when it starts to freeze. Above 0 would be getting warmer (example: 15 degrees). The higher it is above 0, the warmer it is. Below 0 would be getting colder (example: -12). The lower it is below 0, the colder it is. Now I think you're ready to know how cold it is in Canada. If you want to know more, keep reading . . . AnswerCanada is one of the coldest country in the world. The north part is cold and the south part is okay. Since Canada is the second largest country, temperature is different in this large country.

Some parts of Canada, it's cold in the winter and warm in the summer. Some other parts, cold in the winter and cool in the summer and other parts usually in the southern places, it's cold in the winter and hot in the summer. In Canada, summers can go up to 50 degrees which is boiling hot! It's possible but quite rare. In the winter, temperatures can go down to -60 which is freezing!

So the answer is that it's very cold in the north where polar bears live and warmer in the south like Toronto.

Since Canada is a large country temperature is different in different parts of Canada. In the north where the territories are, temperature can go down to -60 which is very cold. In the south part, it gets around -11.

Winter in 2009 - 2010That winter, it was a warm winter! Temperature was usually around down to -6. It's a cold temperature but counts as warm for winter. You might know that there wasn't enough snow for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics! The temperature wasn't cold enough for enough snow.

It used to get down into the -60's Celsius but that was a while ago and our thermometers and methods used to record temperature are more accurate these days so it gets as cold as the high -50's Celsius or about -60f.

Most places will not see anything like that of course. For most of Canada -20c is considered really cold.
